Petteri Salomaa as professor of singing at the Uniarts Helsinki’s Sibelius Academy. He is a wellknown perfomer of opera and concert music in Finland and abroad. Within his work as a performing artist he performs a wide repertoire of church music. In this particular workshop he will give a presentation of how the singing teaching at the Uniarts Helsinki’s Sibelius Academy is organized. He will also demonstrate how the actual teaching is done and he will focus on teaching church music in different styles.

A presentation of the book ”Killar i kör”. An interesting subject on how to get boys to join choirs. Joakim has a long experience in choir conducting and his work with engaging boys and younger men in singing classical music in choirs has resulted in some very interesting reading. Joakim works as a choir conductor and organist in the Västerås cathedral in Sweden.

Juhani Haapasalo’s song cycle Tie vie, pyhä kantaa with text by the bishop emeritus Irja Askola is presented by the composer himself and is being performed by the singers Minna Raassina and Minna Raassina. Presenter is the chairman of the Cantor Society, Jukka Pietilä.
